A Prayer for the Solemnity of the Annunciation
Thursday 25 March is the Solemnity of the Annunciation. The Council for Life of the Bishops’ Conference has asked that people would pause to offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the gift of life and for the intentions of couples expecting the birth of a child.
Intercessions for this intention will also be included at Masses.
Suggested Prayer of Intercession:
“We give thanks for the gift of every human life
and we entrust to the maternal protection of Mary families who,
around this time, are expecting the birth of a baby
– that their child may be blessed with good health”.
